  1. DIRECT QUOTE FROM MOUTH OF BOOTH: "Nothing is changing at the dance. No lights will come on, no one will be kicked out unless we see very provocative dancing. We had to write the rules down for parental concern"
    SO CHILL OUT!

  2. MadelineP, Booth said something very different earlier in the day. And i agree with you about his later statement (the one you posted). However, earlier he, along with other admins., said that the rules were being enforced. So obviously he/they changed their statements after witnessing our uproar.

  3. You guys are all blowing this way out of proportion. They would not turn the lights on for one person grinding. They won't turn the lights off period. Those lights in the gym are freaking expensive, and turning them on and off over and over will kill them really fast. And that's only a small reason they wouldn't do that. What's more, they don't want to be our baby sitters. The teachers and administrators don't want to have to work their way through a crowd of almost 1000 sweaty teenagers just to pull them apart. They want us to have a good time, and they want to deal with as few people as possible, just to make their own lives easier. Not only do they not want to enforce it, but if they do, they will be enforcing the same rules that have always been in place. Grinding is one thing. Dry humping at a school dance is another. If you had read the rules they put on the tickets (and based on what you are claiming, I can only assume you haven't), you would know that it takes two "offenses" to be kicked out. And, as evidenced by the facts I have already given, only the people that are really being disgusting will even get talked to. As for suggestive music, I don't know where you even came up with that. The music will be the same as it always has been: popular songs with any major profanities censored. And if you are concerned about getting a refund for a $10 ticket, then don't do anything to get yourself thrown out. Everybody is just being stupid about this. It's our senior year. Let's not screw it up already.

  4. I have to agree with jeffreys. I hope you guys understand that there are limits to how far people can push the rules before there are reprocussions. I agree with Booth on this one: Chill out. It's just the rules being put on paper. It'll still be the same.
